I started with American Auto Insurance back in the summer of 1989.  I was hired as a temporary file clerk (back in the good ol' days, when we actually had paper files).  I loved the people I worked with and really felt at home.  Being an agent back then was much simpler.  Rates were calculated in about 1 minute, using a chart and a calculator.  It was easy to teach myself how to do it... and one day I just started taking calls.   I never looked back.  After the summer was over, I was hired on full time and 34 years later, here I am! 

Throughout the years, I have made a point to learn all I can about auto insurance, and our agency.  I obtained my Property/Casualty license in 1998.  I went back to college and in 2002, I graduated from David N Myers College with my Bachelors degree in Business Management.  In 2004, I obtained my Life/Health license.  Last year, I completed coursework in Human Resources and obtained my SPHR certification.  I continue to take coursework / seminars that help improve my role here as the agency manager, as well as my personal life. 

After our founder, Alan Kogan, passed away I had the opportunity to purchase the agency.  I changed the name, only to reflect the fact that we now do more than just auto insurance.  Our staff remains the same, and the core values that Alan instilled in me will stay with me forever.  I am working with different companies to bring into the agency to be sure we can remain competitive and expand our product offering. 

I still love what I do, and love who I work with, especially the "regulars" that I get to have laughs with when I talk to them.

When I'm not at working, you'll find me in a kitchen.  I love to cook, entertain, and spend time with friends and family.  I also love to play pickleball, golf and spend time outdoors. My dog, Whistle, especially likes it when I take him to the park and walk the trails.  A few years ago, I traded in my motorcycle on a convertible.  I still love the wind in my hair but love the fact that I can put the top up and turn on the heat when I get cold!
